Under the Tuscan Rain

Today we spent the morning in the beautiful little city Siena, in the Tuscany region of Italy. 

We wandered through a gigantic mercato (market) filled with clothing, food and other random goods. We did some shopping as well. I now have some Italian Leather boots. 

Then we roamed around and saw the gorgeous buildings and cathedrals in the city center.

The best part of Siena was that every other traveler/tourist we met was Italian, whereas in Rome, almost everyone we met was from everywhere all over the world BUT Italy. 

Siena is more of a natural city with it’s own life going on, and Rome is a giant museum and tourist attraction. I still love Rome, but I am glad we got to see a different side of Italy.

We caught a bus to Florence in the afternoon as rain continued to fall over the vineyards and red-roofed villas of the countryside.pinkguacamole:
